Palm Leaf Workshop by Mary Theresa

The workshop hopes to introduce the basics of palm leaf craft so that this beautiful eco-friendly medium that we find in abundance locally can be crafted into objects used daily and explored creatively. Also those who have learnt the basics can explore creating new designs as per their taste and need. One can make mats, flowers, toys, decorations, baskets, pouches, containers, trays, files, children's rattles and jewelry. If the palm leaf objects are used carefully they can last from one to five years.
